It’s Youth Book Award Time!
Steve Sheinkin, who was a visiting author at our school in 2011, is among the big winners this year in children’s book awards. Our older students will remember his workshop where he taught students how to draw his Rabbi Harvey character. We are proud to have “known him when” he was not yet quite so famous! You will find him listed below in the section on Newbery Honor Books. Also below, Jewish and secular award winners are listed, along with links to the awards websites for more information. As always, the Hebrew Academy Library will be acquiring appropriate winning titles for our collection. Sydney Taylor Awards by Association of Jewish Libraries
